The Voluntary Sector and the IYSS - October 2008

A conference called the 'Voluntary Youth Sector's Offer to young people in Staffordshire' was held to raise awareness among voluntary sector agencies about the IYSS developments and the potential contribution to the IYSS and the Youth Offer to be made by the voluntary sector.

Young People Consultation - IYSS Workshop - July 2008

In July 2008 a consultation event was held with young people on 'Building Staffordshire's Future'.  The consultation of the day was primarily concerned with the 'Building Schools for the Future' agenda, however an IYSS workshop was conducted as part of the day.

Young people were asked their opinion regarding the development of an IYSS during a number of tasks and whilst being interview in the County Council's MiPod.

IYSS Double District Conferences June - July 2008

The conferences were held to raise awareness of IYSS developments to date and give stakeholders and opportunity to contribute to the planning process.

They were very well attended, attracting staff and partners form a range of services and agencies of both statutory and voluntary sectors.

Consultation December 2007 - February 2008

Consultation on the development of a Staffordshire IYSS was held with staff and partners during the period December 2007 - February 2008 along with wider consultation through the Children's Trust Board.

A series of consultation events were held to explain the Government requirements for IYSS developments and the process to action such development.
