The Children's Trust Board approved the 1st Children & Young People's Plan (2006-2009), as part of the local authority's statutory duty under section 10 of the Children Act 2004. The purpose of the Plan is to provide a single, overarching strategy for all services for children and young people in Staffordshire and defines the process for supporting more integrated and effective services to secure the outcomes for children, as set out in Every Child Matters: Change for Children.
The Plan sets out:
- Staffordshire Children's Trust's shared vision for children and young people;
- The key priorities and specific actions that the Children's Trust are committing to undertaking;
- Targets that the Children's Trust shall be measuring local performance against.
The Plan has been prepared by a multi-agency Steering group and has been widely circulated amongst partner agencies and organisations across Staffordshire.
The consultation for the Plan ended on 24th March 2006, many thanks to everyone for contributing to its production.
Please find sections of the Plan here including the main document, Appendices; wider partnership priorities and an Executive Summary. A version of the Plan for children and young people will also be produced
