Staffordshire Children and Young People's Strategic Plan 2010-11
Every children's service professional and parent has a role to play in the delivery of the CYPP, and by working together they can ensure the CYPP is a success and as a result, make a real and demonstrable improvement to the lives of Staffordshire's children and young people. It is therefore important that you read the Plan and understand how you can contribute to the achievement of the priorities that are set out within it.
It was agreed, at the July 2009 Children's Trust Board, that the Children's Trust will create a one year plan and develop multi-agency arrangements for 2010-11. Then, based on this experience, the Children's Trust can create a three year plan for 2011 - 2014 to ensure that Staffordshire are consistent with the Local Area Agreement (LAA) timescales (the LAA is the agreement between Central Government and Staffordshire County Council and their local partners to improve local services), and guidance arising from the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act, 2009 (which states statutory Children's Trust partners contribution towards the CYPP will be mandatory in 2011).

Equality Impact Assessments
Equality Impact Assessments are a tool to help ensure services and policies are having the intended effect and aren't inadvertently having a negative impact on any particular group or groups. They are not just another layer of bureaucracy, but should actually make a difference to the way services and polices are designed and delivered.
