Staffordshire Welcome Two New Participation Workers.

At the end of September, two young people were appointed specifically to support the role of the Children's Commissioner and the work of the Children's Trust, to help broaden participation across Staffordshire.

A huge welcome to Matt Dittmer and Joe Sullivan, whose work plan will include:

Staffordshire Children & Young People's Plan
Making better use of IT and young people's mediums
Developing a 'child friendly' web site
Complaints/comments & compliments
The ongoing work of VIA and district shadow trust boards
Relationships with school councils/colleges and learning providers
The Children and young people's participation network
2 x annual 'consultation' events

Joe and Matt started work on Monday 3^rd November 2008, and as you can see, they will be very busy over the next twelve months, with an extensive work programme!
