Appointment of Integrated Youth Supoprt Service (IYSS) Project Manager
Ali has come to the post on a secondment from Staffordshire University. At the University Ali was a project manager for about eight years working on a variety of programme areas from young people's health including Health Action Zone, Teenage Pregnancy, through to a variety of projects as part of the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Aimhigher Programme.
Prior to this Ali worked briefly for Stoke-on-Trent Social Services in the Leaving Care Team, in the voluntary sector as a young carers' support worker, and as a teacher and youth worker for the County.
Ali explains "I've been lucky enough to be able to combine areas I'm interested in, e.g. children and young people's health, well-being and development with pursuing my career as a project manager. I now find myself here at the County about to embark on this huge task of project managing the IYSS. This is the perfect opportunity for me and I am sure i am the right person for the job!"
